From the Dore mountains to the discovery of volcanic lakes, the volcanoes of the Auvergne may be dormant at the moment, but their strength remains intact.

- The Chaudefour valley: a nature reserve, a beautiful area with a high point of 1,854 m at Puy Ferrand. With waterfalls and mineral spring water, this nature reserve is close to the landscapes of the Alps and gives the Massif du Sancy an exceptional diversity.
